2 column layout issue when using borders

all, I'm new to CSS layouts and am trying to create a two column layout within a wordpress page. The left and right column line up as expected until I add border-left and padding into the mix found within div#mediaPhotos. After adding it, the right div is still on the right but isn't aligned with the top of the page. It's found all the way at the bottom. Here's the HTML: a bunch of text and videos can be found here a bunch of text and images are found here Here's the CSS: div#mediaContent { height:100%; width:100%; } div#mediaVideos { display:inline-block; height:100%; width:70%; float:left; } div#mediaPhotos { display:inline-block; width:30%; height:100%; float:right; border-left: 2px dotted #51303f; padding: 15px; } div.mediaCleared { clear: both; }

position fixed issues with images

HI there, I am having some issues with position fixed. I am trying to replicate this layout http://www.csszengarden.com/cssfile=/213/213.css&page=0 This is what I came up so far antobbo.webspace.virginmedia.com/test/test.htm. good, but I had an issue and I can't figure out what it was causing it. At the moment the fixed image is in a div on its own: This is a test css Zen Garden ... and here's the css for the fixed div: #image_fixed { //background-image:url('bottom.png'); height:200px; position:fixed; bottom:0px; } So the issue is that if I add the image in the html everything works, but if I insert the image in the css as above - I commented it out - the image doesn't display. WHy is that I can't come up with an explanation...

forum and script submit button issue

HI! I'm new to this forum so be nice since i only know the basic of HTML coding anyway i have an issue with my code, it's a simple issue i thinkbut i just don't know where i went wrong. anyway I've created a form that has a submit button there's only one submit button on the page but itdoesn't work when i press the "ENTER key" it only works when i click on the submit button. When i click on it via firefox it doesn't do anything but when i click the enter button on my phone when i test out the website it goes to a blank page with a little error message. please tell me what is wrong with my code below. please note that the ******** are actual numbers on my site i've only put asterisk because i dont want anyone knowing my password on this site, thank you for understanding. Also a quick question is there a code that resizes a page base on which device it is seen on such as on a 10" inch laptop to a small 4" inch phone so that it just fits perfectly. function submitentry(){password = document.password1.password2.value.toLowerCase()passcode = 1for(i = 0; i < password.length; i++) {passcode *= password.charCodeAt(i);}//CHANGE THE NUMBERS BELOW TO REFLECT YOUR USERNAME/PASSWORDif(passcode==********)//CHANGE THE NUMBERS ABOVE TO REFLECT YOUR USERNAME/PASSWORD{window.location="menu.htm"}else{alert("password wrong")}}

iframe issue

. I am supporting a site that someone else developed and I have a question about iframes.The page was created to load a list of products in an iframe from an include file. This works fine but from that list of products the user can click through to view that products description. When they click on a product the entire page is loaded into the iframe with the header and navigation. If I am clicking on a link within an iframe how do I get the next page to keep from loading within the iframe

Can someone point out how to solve this issue, kindly?

There is no CSS file to go with this And do you really expect us to troll through this looking for where the color is set I get the feeling you just copied the whole query library into the post. The code from your web page would be far more useful.

Image issue

, I'm having a little bit of trouble modify my colleagues old website (a new one is being made currently, but I'm tasked with fixing some issues with the current one). Look at the blue buttons saying Previous and Next on the bottom of this page: http://www.electrix.co.uk/view_products.phpoffset=10&id=86 In IE7 they display fine, but in Safari (latest version) and Firefox, they display either "wonky" or with two arrows per button (one hiding behind the text), as if each button has been duplicated. Any idea why this would be Here is the CSS for said buttons: .beth_link_right { width: 100px; padding-right: 10px; padding-left: 5px; padding-top, padding-bottom: 0px; text-align: left; border: 1px solid #005FF8; cursor: pointer; background: url('../images/right_arrow_dark.gif') top right no-repeat; background-color: #005FF8; } .beth_link_right a { color: #ffffff; text-decoration: none; } .beth_link_left { width: 100px; padding-right: 5px; padding-left: 10px; padding-top, padding-bottom: 0px; text-align: right; border: 1px solid #005FF8; cursor: pointer; background: url('../images/left_arrow_dark.gif') top left no-repeat; background-color: #005FF8; } .beth_link_left a { color: #ffffff; text-decoration: none; }
